Idly Rice

Also known as parboiled rice or idli rice, is a variety of rice commonly used in South Indian cuisine, particularly for making idlis, a popular steamed rice cake. Idli rice, though not as nutrient-dense as whole grains, offers nutritional benefits. It serves as an excellent source of easily digestible carbohydrates, providing quick energy. With low fat content and some protein, it supports a balanced diet. The parboiling process retains certain B vitamins and minerals, contributing to energy metabolism and physiological functions.
