Green cardamom

Green cardamom, derived from the seeds of the Elettaria cardamomum plant, is a highly aromatic spice widely used in culinary applications and traditional medicine. Known for its sweet, floral aroma and warm, slightly citrusy flavor, green cardamom adds depth and complexity to both sweet and savory dishes. These small, green pods encase tiny black seeds, which are responsible for the spice's distinct flavor profile. Green cardamom is a key ingredient in various cuisines, including Indian, Middle Eastern, and Scandinavian, where it is used in curries, desserts, beverages, and baked goods. In addition to its culinary uses, green cardamom is believed to have medicinal properties.
